Now Hiring: Safety and Environmental Coordinator Automobile Starter & Alternator Manufacturing Company Location: Oklahoma City, OKAbout the Role:We are seeking a Safety and Environmental Coordinator to support our manufacturing facility specializing in automobile starters and alternators. This role is critical in maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental regulations specific to manufacturing operations.Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine safety audits and environmental inspections throughout the manufacturing floor
Monitor and enforce compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and environmental standards
Identify potential safety hazards and work with management to implement corrective actions
Lead safety meetings and coordinate ongoing safety and environmental training for new hires and existing employees
Maintain accurate records of audits, incidents, and corrective actions using computer software (e.g., Excel, safety management systems)
Collaborate with production teams to ensure safe handling of equipment and hazardous materials used in the manufacturing process
Support emergency preparedness efforts, including fire drills, spill response, and accident investigations
Qualifications:
Proven experience in industrial safety, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and environmental regulations
Proficient computer skills, including data entry and report generation
Ability to conduct floor audits and interact effectively with employees at all levels
Stable and verifiable work history demonstrating reliability
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Compensation & Benefits:
Starting pay: $18.00/hour (negotiable based on experience)
Potential for pay increases based on performance and experience
