Position Title: QC InspectorOVERVIEW: Inspects products manufactured or processed to ensure compliance with customer order specifications, company quality standards, legal requirements, and established manufacturing specifications. Performs inspections and measurements related to dimensions, tolerances, hardness, surface finish, and other product requirements.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Major Responsibilities • Inspect products to determine compliance with order specifications and the company's quality control system. • Inspect shipping and packing facilities for conformity to established standards. • Approve or reject products based on inspection results and specifications. • Prepare written reports documenting examination and inspection results. • Calculate angles, radii, and other dimensions of work pieces. • Measure angular dimensions, radii, contours, clearances, thread lead, and other specifications. • Test parts for hardness as required. • Inspect and verify the accuracy of gauges and measuring instruments to ensure they conform to specifications. • Measure and inspect surface finishes of parts. • Document inspection and testing results accurately. • Complete labor cards, job tickets, reports, forms, records, and other required paperwork. • Ensure established productivity and quality standards are met. • Communicate and interact with coworkers, supervisors, customers, and other personnel in a polite, professional, and productive manner. • Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly work area. • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and company safety procedures. • Ensure machine guards and required safety equipment are in place and functioning properly before and during operation. • Monitor and properly use all required personal protective equipment (PPE). • Perform any other duties of a similar or lesser nature as required.QUALIFICATIONSEducation: High school diploma or equivalent; or 1–3 years of related experience and/or training.Experience: • Ability to perform a variety of inspection and quality-control tasks. • Manufacturing or quality-control experience preferred. • Experience using measuring instruments and inspection equipment preferred. • Ability to read and interpret technical procedures, specifications, and general business documents.Skills: • Strong organizational skills. • Effective verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to accurately document and record inspection data. • Strong attention to detail. • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. • Strong safety and quality mindset. • Ability to efficiently manage time and organize work. • Ability to communicate effectively with employees, management, clients, customers, and the public. • Basic computer skills and ability to work with word-processing, manufacturing, database, or order-processing software. • Ability to understand and interpret technical specifications and measurements.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the How To Apply:ProSource People 210 W Pasadena BLVD Deer Park, TX 77536
