Job Title: Product EngineerLocation: SW Oklahoma City Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM Pay: DOE (Depends on Experience) Industry: Automotive Parts ManufacturingJob Summary:The Product Engineer is responsible for analyzing and defining product standards at PPR, with a strong focus on continuous improvement of product data to enhance quality and profitability. This role involves managing engineering projects of varying scope and working cross-functionally across departments. Adaptability and attention to detail are key to success in this role.Key Responsibilities:
Create and maintain Unit Identity (ID) data in production software (e.g., measurements, materials, imaging)
Develop and update unit Bill of Materials (BOM) for new and existing products
Identify and record component data, including part numbers, technical specs, and images
Translating customer requirements into detailed product specifications
Create and update Production Work Orders (PWO) and Work Instructions (WI) with technical documentation
Support Quality Stop (Q Stop) inspections
Perform product and component testing using in-house test equipment
Collect and analyze data for continuous improvement and root cause corrective actions
Recommend and implement engineering design changes
Produce CAD/SolidWorks models and drawings for engineering projects
Communicate project status and escalate issues to management when necessary
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field preferred
Experience with CAD/SolidWorks (required)
Previous work in an automotive or manufacturing environment is a plus
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Self-starter with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
