Nutrition Specialist –OKC Pay: $24.02/hour Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Type: Temp-to-Hire (after 90 days)People Source OKC is currently hiring candidates with a background in nutrition services. This position is located in Oklahoma City and will involve providing nutritional support and related services in a professional environment.Qualifications Required:
Baccalaureate Degree in Nutrition, Home Economics, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience (substituting one year of experience for each year of required education).
Three (3) years’ experience in nutrition education, counseling, or a related area.
Strong human relations and management skills.
Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
Duties & Responsibilities (Summary):
Ensure meals meet children’s daily nutritional needs and support overall growth and development.
Provide on-site assistance, training, and written plans for program and nutrition improvements.
Manage food inventory, orders, distribution of donated foods, and related reporting.
Prepare and submit meal census, cost reports, and reimbursement claims.
Support and train staff, children, and families in nutrition, food practices, and CACFP KidKare software.
Monitor food service programs for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Train staff in menu planning, food preparation, sanitation, and safe food handling.
Collaborate with the Policy Council, Health Advisory Committee, and Head Start teams to strengthen nutrition services.
Travel frequently to offsite locations as required.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Must pass a background check
Must pass a drug screen (OMMA card not accepted)
