Ironworker – Structural Steel & Rigging

Job Description

Location: East Mesa, Arizona (85207)
Pay: $29/hour + OT after 40 hours
Schedule: Monday – Saturday, early morning start People Source is hiring an experienced Ironworker to join our team in East Mesa. This position supports structural steel erection and rigging operations on active commercial and industrial job sites. We’re looking for someone who is safety-focused, skilled in rigging and welding, and comfortable working at heights. Responsibilities:
  • Erect, align, and bolt structural steel according to plans and specifications
  • Rig and hoist materials with cranes using approved rigging methods
  • Perform SMAW welds to AWS D1.1 standards
  • Read and follow blueprints, layout drawings, and site instructions
  • Operate lifts and equipment in compliance with site safety policies
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
 Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of structural ironwork experience
  • Current rigging certification
  • Current welding certification (AWS D1.1)
  • Fall protection and lift training (scissor lift, boom lift, etc.)
  • Experience on commercial or industrial construction sites
  • OSHA 10 certification (minimum)
  • Ability to work at heights and in varying site conditions
  • Reliable transportation to and from job sites
 Additional Skills:
Ability to read and interpret Material Test Reports (MTRs), Welder Qualification Records (WQRs), Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), inspection reports, crane/rigger load certifications, mill certificates for steel, and rigging equipment certifications or load charts. Call or send your resume to Cristina at Cristina@PeopleSourceUSA.com - - (623) 387-8560
